Spring, by Lyle H Saxon, Tokyo
I didn't go looking for spring yesterday, so it was all the more pleasant when I looked around and saw the beauty of it.  Note the area in front of Tanashi Station in the first picture - for many years, development in Japan took the country away from nature, but in the past decade, there has been some quite nice new development - and I dare say this is one good example.  I'm not sure exactly when this was done, but I'm quite certain that 15 years ago, this area in front of the station was strictly utilitarian and... maybe not ugly, but not beautiful either.  Now it's quite nice.  (Incidentally, the other five pictures were taken a seven-minute walk from the station.)
