Ikegamidai - another suburb that seems to have gone from
ordinary to semi-exclusive over the past couple of decades.
Regarding the old house that was torn down and the land left
empty. Typically, what with the price of land being very high,
when someone buys a piece of it with a house on it already, the first
thing they do is to tear the house down and put up a new one, so often
the sellers will just tear it down straight away and sell the land
only. A good or a bad idea I don't know, but the eradication of
all plant life sometimes (often?) is disturbing.... - Copyright 2006 by Lyle
