Frost during August

I recognized frost in early morning from 14-15 August 2005 over grassland of a camp site in a first research area of Darhadyn Wetland, Mongolia. There was evidence for frost on a log that was utilized as a chair in the grassland (photographed at 0823 h on 14 August 2005). An ambient air temperature was approximately -3 C this morning (at 0600 h). Sunrise occurred around 0730 h during mid-August.
