One Cold January Day in the Suburbs...
This photo contains the ubiquitous asphalt of station platforms, the
cold and dry shadows of a Tokyo winter (cold, dry, almost never snows)
and the orange "bots dots" strip on the edge of the platform for blind
people - which is set behind the white dotted line that formerly served
as the line you were supposed to stand behind. Now that the
announcements simply say to stand behind the yellow strip, one wonders
why they bother with the white line any more....
The lack of people
is typical - you either find yourself in horrible crushes of people or
in lonely scenes like this one - more often than you would
expect. Naturally there is everything in between, but quite often
either overcrowded or devoid of people.
