"Tokyo Housing"
Houses
like the one on the left are oftentimes quite nice, with a time-tested
design and quite comfortable in the middle of several shade
trees. Land prices have proven to be an enemy of trees however,
and much of Tokyo is like the middle photo. Nothing especially
wrong in that picture, but when you've seen how nice a residence like
the one on the left is, a largely treeless expanse of houses packed
close together doesn't quite seem like the best housing design for a
city to have. Enter the monster apartment building on the
right. For the past several years, tower residences such as this
one have been going up one after another. Of the three, I'd be
happy to live in either the left or the right photos - not too sure
about the middle one
though. Copyright
