"At the Foreign Correspondents' Club, in Yurakucho"
by Lyle (Hiroshi) Saxon I finally made it to one of the performances of "Jerry & the Hip Swingers" www.hipswingers.com. After missing performance after performance for the past year and a half, on Saturday evening, September 9th, 2006, I walked into the Foreign Correspondents' Club in Yurakucho and sat down for a beer and some good tunes. All the musicians were great, but I only have the names of two - Jerry Vicars on guitar (and vocals) and Mike Price (of the "Mike Price Jazz Quintet") on trumpet. The lighting was practical, if not overly interesting, but the relative brightness did enable me to take my pictures without using a flash (by pushing the limits of what my camera can accomplish in low light situations). (Bottom right picture above) - Heading back home via Yurakucho Station, with Bic Camera (formerly a Sogo Department Store) to the left.
