"The Snow Family" I don't know how long this woman was on the phone, but as she talked, her daughter was busy building a family of snowpeople beside her.  (I had visions of a virtual army appearing in the next twenty minutes or so.....) The snow in these pictures fell on a Saturday - the same day these pictures were taken (beside the Tamagawa-josui canal in Tokyo), and the snow family picture was taken the next afternoon in Sugamo.         Copyright 2006 by Lyle (Hiroshi) Saxon, Images Through Glass, Tokyo
