I forgot what the gate is, but here it would be old market place in front of the city hall. During WW2, these market place and other buildings were completly disrupted. So, this is why it has a large space. I read the explanation on the board near this space, it said here was the oldest place in potsdam. This market place was here since the beginning of Potsdam History (I forgot the year).
