Start to grow

Rice-planting finished. Those rows of rice plants made an interesting pattern. In this area the rice paddies are so narrow and layered on the slope of mountains.

An azami( a thistle)

This was found near the Kurokawa Cable Car Station. A few of them were waving in the breeze.

Han-ge-shou

Han-ge-shou is the 11th day from the summer solistice. This plant turns its top leaves half-white around the day. That is why the plant is named Han-ge-shou. A homophone can be "half make-up."
