The following shop used to carry "The LL-Letters" book - which chronicles life in the summer of '99 at the end of the 20th century.  People in the book are reaching out to the world, the spam blizzard is yet to begin, and the world actually seems civilized....  In that time frame, the Internet seemed to promise an exciting new world and way of life - and now, suddenly, the book seems like a history book.

The Blue Parrot, Takadanobaba

Looking on-line, the Blue Parrot website appears to have vanished.  The link above goes to their FaceBook page - where there are several comments from customers - one mentioning that they saw moving vans and that they have moved out of their Takadanobaba location.  Everyone is wondering if/when they will re-open....

I haven't been to this shop for several years, so I have no idea if they are still carrying my book or not...]

2006 Text: The shop has a good stock of books, and also handles CDs, DVDs, back issues of National Geographic, etc., as well as reasonably-priced Internet access.  Being not far from Waseda University, the area is one of Tokyo's popular youth spots, with a large number of cafes and restaurants.  Open seven days a week from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm,  If you happen to be walking down Waseda-dori, look for their 100-yen book bin in front of the building the store is in.
