Bekambeushi Marsh

Bekambeushi Marsh
Bekambeushi Marsh contains a low wetland, fen (6,510 ha), developed along the Bekambeushi River, located at the north of the Akkeshi Lake, Akkeshi-cho, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan. The brown frog Rana pirica breeds in many places of the fen. A high wetland, bog (approximately 100 ha), exists in the middle riparian regions.

This photograph indicates the northeastern part of Bekambeushi Marsh, with an intermediate landscape between fen and bog.
