Russian jeeps, driving across a river with increased water, on the way from Darhadyn Wetland to Muren, Mongolia (photographed on 24 July 2004).

(A) Mongolian researchers during negotiation with a nomadic man having a horse, which lived around. Coniferous trees covered only an upper part of a hillside.

(B) The nomad riding on horseback during walk across the river.

(C) A jeep in the mid-river. About half of a body of the jeep was submerged in the river.

(D) The jeep just after emerging from the river.

This submergence induced a stop of an engine in the jeep. A jeep-driver drained water out of an engine room, and then took it to pieces to dry up. Other two jeeps and two trucks continued to be driven, leaving the driver and his jeep alone.
