Jinaimachi sembei are egg-flavoured cookies featuring the characteristic
designs from the landscape in the town, such as an old temple and town
houses. This has been nominated as a “village-reviving” indigenous product. The cookies are baked exclusively at the confectionary shop of "Kashiwaya- Katsuragido" near the Tondabayashi station. The shop is famous for its long-standing and variety of Japanese confectionary. The Jinaimachi sembei is sold at the price of Japanese Yen 700 per box including 16 pieces, which is recommende as a souvenir. A small leaflet briefing the history on Jinaimachi is also complimentarily provided. |
