Deutsch Bahn

Deutsch Bahn is a big company which manage the trans network in Germany and support travelers and cago. I thought Deutsch Bahn was always late, but in these days, it is in time. So, I have to rush in.

Oh, it's my bussiness. So, I introduce you how to ride on Deutsch Bahn in this page.

In Germany, we call central station "Hauptbahnhof [hbf]". For example, the central station of Magdeburg where I live is "Magdeburug Hauptbahnhof".

Well, let's go to station!@First, you can see the time table in the enterance hall. You have to check the train that you want to ride on. You will know the information, what kind of train it is, which platform it comes, where it goes, whether it is late or not, and so on.

Then, around the time table, you will find the ticket counter. You can buy the ticket in "Fahrschein" desk.
As you know =), you have to give some imformation to clerk.

1) from (vom) where, (nach) where.
2) one way (Hinfahrt), or round-trip ticket (Hin und Ruckfahrt).
3) when (today "Heute", tomorrow "morgen", or date(date.month.year)).
4) whether you have "Bahn Card" or not.
5) what kind of train you would like to ride.

Maybe these 5 points.
Following is a list of kind of train.

ICE Inter City Express Super Express necessary

After getting ticket, let's go to the platform. Platform is "Gleis" in German. Sometimes two trains are in same platform. You should check the train. You can know it from the time table. For example, "Gleis 4b" in the time table means Train comes to platform 4 and stop at point "b" (you will find it easily).

The door is sometimes manual. Especially Japanese people should pay attention. Closed door does not mean it is out of schedule. Push the button or pull the lever.

So, Bon Voyage!
