Camp Site

Tents
Wash

Sights of the camp site of Darhadyn Wetland, Mongolia.

(A) There were 19 tents, each including 1-3 persons of researchers or students (photographed on 18 July 2004). Since most of those tents were not enough water-proof, a leak in the roof occurred due to heavy rain, and therefore the tent floors frequently became soaked. Drivers slept in each of their Russian jeeps and trucks.

(B) Colorful washes that were spread over grassland (photographed on 21 July 2004). These washes would dry up within a couple of hours because humidity is very low in this area. Washing was each conducted by the use of water that was drawn up from the Shishkhid River.
