Lota lota that were captured by fishing during the midnight from the Shishkhid River in Darhadyn Wetland, Mongolia (photographed on 9 August 2005).

(A) Two adults of L. lota that were dissected to be stuffed. Their flesh was cooked after being flayed. White powders were starch, and were utilized for the avoidance of slipping her hands.

(B) Stomach contents of one of these adults. A juvenile L. lota was found in the stomach, which is evidence for cannibalism of this species.
