Gap Year

Saturday ,September 24 ,2005

I asked Chiyo and Anna at Asakusa - which would you prefer, going to Yokohama China Town or having a BBQ by the sea side on Friday . They said "BBQ " .
So , I guided them to Mitohama with Conna yesterday .

Chiyo and Anna are friends from elementary school . They parted at university ; one went to Brighton and the other went to Manchester .They are starting one year of world travel by using the Gap Year .

The Gap Year is wonderful . They will grow up after one year the same as I did on my Afghanistan' tour .

They are going to leave Japan and go to Singapore today .
Have a good trip ! Chiyo and Anna !

I had a phone call the day before yesterday ,from Iain's aunt .

"Iain's (Diary) sister ( left , Chiyo ) and her friend ( center , Anna ) came to Japan . She asked if I would guide her around Tokyo ? , because there is nobody who speaks English well ."

Iain and Chiyo are half Japanese and half English . Their mother ,who is Japanese ,lives in London . Chiyo is in Japan , visiting her mother's younger sister . By chance , she was my classmate in high school . So she asked me to help .

I sent an e-mail to Wain(Diary)
"Come with me and help me ".
So we went to Asakusa , and ate Tenpura .
We talked in English .
I found my English is progressing a little .

Four men wandered

Tuesday ,September 20 ,2005

We went to Imaihama , Izu by train .
We saw beautiful scenery from the window .
A mountain , a sea and some wine !
I believe we didn't bother the people in the next seat .(^_^)

Imaihama is a very beautiful beach .
We can usually see small fish in the sea .

We walked to tourist home from the beach and went in the hot spring soon after .

We played mahjong .

Who are you ?
YYY said you are Sikou Nunakara who is a famous engraver .
So ,Toby and I beat YYY and Conna .
Yes !!

We drank and talked about art , music , etc. through the night . I'm thankful for good friends and this good tour .

Long Autumn night

Suddenly Autumn came .
The full moon was in the sky , the blowing wind was cool and the crickets chirped like a bell .

The old man drank alone and he wandered the past in his mind .
His future will be bright or not , he was not concerned . He had thought his life would not last much longer .

He was in the blowing wind . He wandered the future in his mind .
