“inferior to...”は、〔ラテン比較〕。「…より劣っている」。「…より優れている」は“superior to...”
for his age は、「彼の年の割りには」。「彼の年の割りには、誰にも劣っていない」では、日本語がおかしいので「彼の同年輩の中では、誰にも劣っていない」とする。
「それでは、彼は人類で最も〔節制的〕な人物で、彼の同年輩の中では、どんな性質についても、誰にも劣っていない、と私に言わせてください」
内容から、クリチアスの言葉か。それとも、ソクラテス本人の言葉か。これは二転三転した。

the two は、the two houses。the two from which you are sprung で「君を生んだ（輩出した）２家」くらいの意味。カルミデスは、父も母も名門の出身。のちに出てくるであろうが……。
「わかったよ。では、カルミデス。実際私は、君はあらゆる美徳について、他の者より優れているべきだと考えている。というのは、私が間違っていなければ、君を輩出した２家の結合より、高貴で優れた子供をつくりそうな２家の組み合わせをアテネの家の中から指摘できる者は、現在一人もいないからだ」

この There is your... は、“There is...”“There are...”なのだろうか。「君の父方の家について話そう」くらいに思っておく。
最後の方の as は何だろうか。〔接続詞〕とは思えない。as以後が〔節〕になっていないからだ。もちろん、as...as... の後ろの as は、〔接続詞〕で、その後には〔節〕がない場合もある。でもそれは、省略があって、それを補えば〔節〕が出現する。今回、省略されているの物の見当がつかない。
〔前置詞〕だろうか。純然たる〔前置詞〕は、後方に〔名詞〕〔代名詞〕を必要とする。for が出てきているから、for の前に〔名詞〕〔代名詞〕がなければならない。famous だけだ。これは〔形容詞〕。as の後ろに〔形容詞〕がくるのは、
regard Ａ as Ｂ、look on Ａ as Ｂ「ＡをＢとみなす」。
as Ｂ は一般的に〔目的格補語〕と、とらえられている。

とできるのではないか。残念ながら、私の所有する辞書・参考書類では、commemorate Ａ as Ｂ の例は見当たらなかった。

maternal は「母方の」。Pyrilampes「ピュリランペス」は、アテネ全盛時代をつくりあげたペリクレスの友人で、後にプラトンの母親の再婚相手になったといわれる人物。プラトンは彼を父親代わりに育ったという人もいる。
never to have found と〔to不定詞〕の前に never が出てきているので、〔結果〕かと思ったが……、う〜ん、そうなのか。よく分からないが、be＋reputed＋〔to不定詞〕で、「〜と評判」と英和辞典に載っていた。そのまま覚える。〔to不定詞〕の否定は、直前に not, never を置く。
not a whit＝not at all「全然〜ない」。
the other とあるので、「決まった別のもう一つ」→「父方の家族」。
