Temperance has the effect upon yourself が〔関係代名詞〕に導かれる〔形容詞節〕の完全形。have (the) effect (up)on... で、「……に効果がある」という意味を表す。
後ろの which の〔先行詞〕は、the nature of that であろう。that はtemperance と考えられる。
consider の〔目的語〕が２つ。１つは、the effect、もう１つが、the nature of that。
「節制が君に及ぼす影響と、その影響を及ぼす節制の本質とを考えてごらん」

think over は、「よく考える」「熟考する」。over は「もう一度」という意味になることがある。そこから「再吟味する」「もう一度よく考える」という意味になる。starting over で「再出発」、start over で「再出発する」という over もこの使い方。
まあ、でも、over の後ろに all があれば、all over the world の使い方か。
like a brave youth「勇敢な若者のように」。これは何だろう。「勇敢な若者のように」「何をする」のだろう。Think over all this と 何かをつなぐのが and。Think like a brave youth とは考えにくいので、Think over...and...tell me と考えられる。like a brave youth は、tell me を修飾しているのだ。まあ、「男らしくはっきり」「言え」と命令しているのだろう。
「このことをもう一度よく考えて、勇敢な若者らしく私に言ってくれ。節制とは何だ？」

「ソクラテス、私の意見は、節制は人間を恥を知るものにし、謙虚さを身に付けさせます。そして、節制は謙虚と同じです」
ソクラテス：
じゃあ、もう１回注意して君の心の中を見てごらん、カルミデス。節制が君に及ぼす影響を考えてごらん。そして、その影響力を持つ節制の本質を考えてごらん。これらのことを、よく考えて、若者らしく思い切って言ってごらん。節制とは何かを。
ナレーター：
彼は男らしくしばらく考えた後、こう言った。
カルミデス：
私の意見では、節制は人間を恥を知るものにし、謙虚さを身に付けさせます。節制は謙虚と同じです、ソクラテス。
「男らしく考える」という感覚が、私には分からない。「人間らしく考える」かもしれないと思ったが、少し前に「勇敢な若者のように」とソクラテスが言っているので、「男らしく」の方が合っているように思われる。
カルミデスの意見「節制の徳を身に付けた人間は、謙虚になって恥を知るようになる」は、なかなか立派な意見のように思うが、「節制は謙虚と同じ」とは言い切らないほうが……。
