Tools for Toe-Clipping

Toe-Clipping
Medical tools for toe-clipping, out of several tools for the field survey of caudate amphibians. When PIT-tags were not available, I marked salamanders individually by toe-clipping with "ophthalmologic scissors" (for the microsurgery: Takasago Medical Industry Co. Ltd., Tokyo, Japan), and, using "tweezers" (for the microsurgery: No. 7, Vigor; B. Jadow Inc., Switzerland), fixed toes clipped from each individual in 10% neutral buffered formalin in situ for skeletochronological approaches.
