Tiger Lily (Lilium lancifolium)

Tiger lilies in Japan have chromosomes of a special kind. They make Tiger lilies produce no seeds but the alternatives at the joint of leaves. The alternatives, which we call "Mukago" in Japanese, look just like dark seeds.

What a beautiful day! Groups of clouds are travelling north. Where are you going?

Gennoshouko, or Geranium thunbergii

Famous as a fork remedy of diarrhea. In east Japan you find most of them in white, but in the west, you see pink ones.
