Appreciation of Nature

Part-38 ( Ed. Oct. 25, 1999)

SPECIAL: Sting!

(with Olympus CAMEDIA C-1400XL)

Hototogisu, or Imerda Lily began to bloom at the beginning of October unusually late this year. You came across a worm who had been biting the leaf.

How do you do, everyone? You like the black eyes of mine with loooong eyelashes, cute chin and the fashionable outfit? What do you think?

Have a look at the dress with spears all over. Be sure to count the stings of each spear. Someone who likes to get stung by me?

I love this kind of leaf. I always pass time biting it.

This is the flower of "Hototogisu." In fact, I am a larva of a butterfly named "Ruritateha" and I will be living through winter as an adult, I mean a butterfly.
Well, well, I really wish to visit you as "Beauty, the butterfly" next time. See you!
