A 70-year old rice storehouse was renovated to create a theatre and a gallery for the collected works of a 19 th century painter, Ekin. This complex became the focal point of the town, which is working to preserve and promote its regional culture.

One-storey house with a foundation which also serves as a revetment for the inclined foundation. A facility for the Japan Agricultural Cooperative to stimulate residence exchange in a mountainside town.
