It takes 30 minutes from Osaka city to Tondabayashi station by Kintetsu railways. A 10-minutes walk will take you to the historic town.

History (Origin) Jyokokuji Buddhist Temple is formally called as Hankei-san Sanbutsu-in Jyokokuji Temple and is located along Minami Kaisho-cho street in Jinaimachi town. The temple belongs to Yuuzuu Nenbutsu Buddhism sect and a subordinate temple of the headquarters Dainenbutsu Buddhist Temple in Hirano ward, Osaka city. Jyoukokuji temple was originally founded by Saint Seikai Shinsho Shonin in Ebitani village in 1286 and was moved here in 1574 until now. According to the record, it was called as Dainenbutsu Dojo in 1608 and was rebuilt by followers association in 1666. Nisondo pavilion is located on the right-hand corner of the precincts of the temple and in the pavilion, a stone statue guardian deity of children (Jizobosatsu) is enshrined, the signature of which was recorded in 1311 and it has been registered as a cultural asset of Osaka prefecture as from February 20, 1970, as it is a quite rare old statue of guardian deity of children (Jizobosatsu) found in Osaka. According to the monumental inscription engraved on both sides of the stone statue, it was built for the repayment of kindness and memorial service in favour of Kohikyuu-ni and Shinsho. In addition, there is a kasa touba with the name in 1293 in the corner of yard, which indicates the long history of this temple. |

Visitor Parking
Road width is very narrow in Jinaimachi town. If traveling by car, please
use Tondabayashi Municipal east parking newly opened in February 2014 (Toll
parking).
You can park the minibus for groups and passenger cars for general use.
Only one parking lot available for minibus, you must book it in advance
with Tondabayashi City Hall. A 15-minute walk to the Jinaimachi Visitor
Center and 5 minute walk up to the former Sugiyama family house, an important
national cultural property.
You will note that the large tourist bus for groups is requested to be
parked at the Tondabayashi City Hall No. 2 parking lot alongside the old
Route 170 (It must be booked in advance to City Hall). 20-minute walk to the Jinaimachi
Visitor Center and 10 minute walk up to the former Sugiyama family house,
