I'm glad to intorduce an old town, Jinaimachi, Tondabayashi, Osaka, Japan as a national historic district and heritage site.
It takes 30 minutes from Osaka city to Tondabayashi station by Kintetsu railways. A 10-minutes walk will take you to the historic town.

| Dear kind visitors, Welcome to this website titled "Tourist guide to Jinaimachi town, in Tondabayashi, a historic district and heritage site of Japan". Thank you very much for visiting. I myself, the author of this website, was born and raised up in the town of Tondabayashi Jinaimachi. Now I am a company employee and live in Yokohama next to Tokyo, the capital of Japan, which is about 550 kilometers away from the home town. During the student in university, I had experienced to work as a student tour guide in Kyoto, the old capital of Japan, for Japanese elementary students on excursion trips as well as visitors to various sites of Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines which are occasionally open to the public during summer and winter seasons. Nearly 30 years have passed since I started to work as an employee of a Japanese trading company and I have ever lived as an expartriate in the U.S.A. and Singapore for 7 years. During the overseas assignment, I had also experienced to explain things Japanese to foreign business associates, freinds and visitors. It was a great opportunity for me to recognize the importance of introducing Japanese culture to foreign people all over the world and the experience really encouraged me to be qualified as a Government-licensed tour guide when I repartiriated from the overseas assignments. After I could successfully obtain the tour guide license from Japanese government, I made up my mind to introduce my home town, Tondabayashi Jinaimachi, one of the important historic districts and heritage sites of Japan through the Internet. I hope many visitors who can reach this website may enjoy a virtual journey and may find the unique history, culture and streetscapes of Jinaimachi town. This website may also help you visit Jinaimachi in Tondabayashi when you have a good chance to come to Japan in order to visit Kyoto, Nara or Universal Studio Japan in Osaka. I like the town all the better because it remains as used to be, which is quite different from other popular sightseeing spots with full of tourism. This website is also intended to introduce such activities as to preserve the original landscape of the town by the local government and residents' association, and to guide visitors in group by a volunteer tour guide. I thank you very much once again for the cooperations extended to me in providing varuious information in conjunction with Tondabayashi Jinaimachi. I do hope the historic district of Jinaimachi Town may possiblly be nominated as one of the world heritage sites by the United Nation (UNESCO) in the near future. Best wishes. of Osaka prefecture, the western part of Japan

It is a 10-minute walk from the Tondabayashi Staion or the Tondabayashi
Nishiguchi Station of Kintetsu Nagano line.
From Kansai International Airport
Airport Limousine Bus service available bound for Kawachi Nagano Station.
(60 minutes) Please take Kintetsu railways from Kawachi Nagano to Tondabayashi.(15

Visitor Parking
Road width is very narrow in Jinaimachi town. If traveling by car, please
use Tondabayashi Municipal east parking newly opened in February 2014 (Toll
parking).
You can park the minibus for groups and passenger cars for general use.
Only one parking lot available for minibus, you must book it in advance
with Tondabayashi City Hall. A 15-minute walk to the Jinaimachi Visitor
Center and 5 minute walk up to the former Sugiyama family house, an important
national cultural property.
You will note that the large tourist bus for groups is requested to be
parked at the Tondabayashi City Hall No. 2 parking lot alongside the old
Route 170 (It must be booked in advance to City Hall). 20-minute walk to the Jinaimachi
Visitor Center and 10 minute walk up to the former Sugiyama family house,
an important national cultural property. Thank you in advance for your
